if the chrysler 400 uses the same type of starter that the 318 & 360s due, you can find a nippon starter in 24v. then use a 1 wire gm alternator converted to 24v & source a 24v coil. it will provide 24v but will not be waterproof as the orig system. i wanted to do my 360 m37 retaining the 24v stuff, but in the end went i went 12v.
