In addition to what has been mentioned:

Hercules Engine had a kit for converting the trucks to use thier DT/DTA3.7 that was not adopted by the military but was sold for some years by Pual Caudel at MARS that was installed by his shop and others. Memphis Equipment, M-Series Repower, and I all have offer/have performed conversions using Cummins 4BT/BTA engines. A few other folks have done conversions with Perkins 4.236 or Detroit 3-53N engines for domestic and international customers.

And of course, there a few individuals who have installed the above engines or GM6.x V8 diesels in their own personal trucks as well on a "one off" basis...

Don't forget the www.steelsoldiers.com and www.g503.com sites... They don't have quite the info that the www.g741.org, www.powerwagonadvertiser.com, or www.dodgepowerwagon.com sites have, but they are worth a visit.

I also will plug my own site since I have been documenting both my own Cummins conversion and other technical info useful to M37 owners at www.garbee.net/~cabell

Good luck.
