Well, what I'm saying is, that when the tire is worn down to no tread, theres still 95% of the total tire left that gets thrown away, in fact, you have to pay $5-$10 per tire to get rid of the carcass.
I'm suprised theres no way to recycle the casings, or a better type of retread that you can use on the front axle and wont come apart (seemingly, by the amount of mariachi sandal material on the side of the freeway!) so easily.
But why would a MFGR sell you a retread process for $80, when they can sell you a whole new tire that takes less manpower (per tire)to make for $180? That's bad business for the bottom line of a company dont you think?
