Try Vintage Power Wagons.... They had the NOS R & P for around 350 last I checked....But, now you
gotta pay someone to set up your rear diffential.
Big Bucks, as you have already seen...

Now for my advise... I also own a 1941 1/2 ton, and had my problems with spider gears and R&P going bad in the past... Not having the no-how or the money to buy the new R&P and paying a mechanic to install and setup the diff properly,
I usually just swapped out the whole 3rd member from a parts unit...

Look for a parts truck and take the whole unit out
and swap into your axle... I have been able to make lots of connections over the years and found
lots of junker, doner trucks for the parts that had decent running gear.....Make sure the axles
are in good shape before buying.

Try my Buddy John Horniak..He is from Webster, MA He has a 1/2 ton part truck.... Maybe he will sell you the whole differetial unit.. That way, no need to pay someone to setup your 3rd member either. Just bolt it in....

John's number is 508-949-2241.. Good luck...
