What is acceptable in terms of axle wrap? What I mean is this. If you grab the drive line and rotate it clockwise as far as possible, then turn it counter clockwise until it stops, what part of a revolution does the drive line make between these two points? Is there any diffrence in wrap between 4.89 and 5.83 differentials? Will the use of a LocRite affect the amount of wrap? I am asking this as I have a fair amount of wrap in my 4.89 differential (with a LocRite) that has 600 miles on it. The differential was adjusted to specs. before it was put in but I am now wondering if I should pull it out and check it.
