They would have been crazy to get close to it. It coulda arc'd over and got them. I bet the truck was hot too. Probably woulda melted a nylon strap in a hurry. I have always heard if you are in your car and get tangled up in power lines not to do anything and touch anything and the tires will insulate you. What I have always wondered is what if theres enough power there to just arc and jump to ground from your vehicle. I would think then you would be screwed.
