THe other Day while prowling around my car dealer freind's back lot where he keeps some parts trucks, I seen a early 90's GMC 3/4 ton that I noticed had some distinct wheels on it. Closer examination shows them to be 19.5 wheels with 12 Ply tires on 8 lug rims! The steel on these rims look to be about 3/8 inches thick! These suckers are stout! Well the truck is a former Rail Road Co. truck and my friend is parting it down. I asked him about those rims and he said if I wanted them, just bring over 4, 8 lug wheels with tires that hold air. So, that was cool, and I scrounged thru the tire pile at home and found some. The other day, I went over there to pay him what I still owed him on the '90 W-350 Plow truck and pulled those 19.5's off the GMC. They are tall, about 34 inches high, and skinny and heavy duty, but would really work fine on the 1991 W-250 Cummins truck. They will probably set in the shed for a while, because I plan to put them on the truck when I convert it over to a stick and put some better gears in it. But still, and neat find that only cost me 4 junk tires, and some time to swap wheels over.

Project Update: Snow plow truck is paid in full now, We got tons of new snow here, truck is 30 miles from home and wont be coming home till weekend, Cummins truck setting in yard, waiting for spring to arrive, and 47 WDX Power Wagon is setting in yard, with starter off, and oil down cyls to get things ready to start it soon hopefully. Have a good one!
