paul - any of the 80s cars / trucks would have an rv2 compressor. i got mine from an 80s ramcharger for the brackets and got a rebuilt comp on ebay for about $30 vs the $200 that the yorks bring. I ran the compressor on my m37 to test it only as i sold the truck shortly after. when i applied current to the ac clutch it threw a lot of air. certainly enough to impress. i am going a different route for the command car. im getting an oasis compressor which is a york mounted to a winch motor. its portable, works on 12 or 24 volts and puts out a ton of air. i plan on moving it from vehicle to vehicle. additionally, i wont be doing much wheeling in the command car so dedicating an engine mounted unit does not make sense for me. having the unit portable has more advantages my situation as i can carry it in my daily driver - gmc yukon to air up tires in my trucking business and jump my air starter equipped city tractors. the oasis- and a york or rv2 will handle air tools without a tank. let me know if you need more info. i might have some rv2 related stuff down in the garage. ill check for you. mannyc
