rv2 vs york compressor

you can use a rv2- i.e. dodge 2 cylinder cast iron compressor on your dodge small block. they were the factory equipped unit for ac on the older dodges. it appears to be as large or larger than than the york AND its cheaper as the non dodge guys dont want it. we had an old dodge service truck at work with an rv2 setup to inflate tractor trailer tires. it had a tank, but it was pretty powerful. if you get one from the wrecking yard get the brackets and the ac hoses coming out of it. it makes it easier to swap it in in. grab the full set of pulleys too as your non ac 318, 340 or 360 might have difft pulleys. i put one on my helitool m37 and did not have hood clearance problems.
