Redi-Strip is the best form of stripping & there's nothing that compares to it. There are tons of guys that have had parts dipped & not prepared them properly afterwards & had problems with acid leaching etc.
If done properly, acid dipping is the only way to remove 100% of the corrosion from your restoration project.
All that being said, I've never heard of anyone dipping a Power Wagon. Cost is the main factor...not just the dipping but the prep, re-seam sealing, phosphating, etc etc.
A mixture of media blasting works well on a vintage truck. The metal is so thick you really have have to be an idiot to warp 16G sheetmetal.
I'd stay away from sand unless you're using fine silica & that stuff is a no no.
