sorry for the long post, the machine shop man came by today ,and listened to the motor. he said that what has happened is that my crankshaft thurst bearing is gone, and or wore from my transmission pushing it forward, he said i must have a transmission problem. he told me my mechanical sun pro gauge is not any good, as it went to zero oil pressure while he was there its brand new??, he told me to put one on it for a hydralic pump as they are more accurate???, i called two transmission shops ,and they told me the 727 should have 50 lbs of pressure @ idle, and that they have never heard of that causing a crank to move in & out, only wore out thrust bearings. mine moves about a 1/16th when to give it the gas forward.the knock the machine shop guy said is from the crank floating???. i think he's shooting me a line a "*&$%#@%$"!! what do you think guys& gals ??. do i just replace the bearings, or do i get a new crankkit, and send him the bill either way, i'm out money. when i get the motor back out i'll take pictures, and post them.thanks for the help in advance RICK
