Allen, when I bought my 98 2500 Cummins new I wanted the 6 speed. They kept postponing it's release. I couldn't wait any longer and got one with an automatic. It actually worked out surprisingly better pulling my 3 axle goose neck than expected due to late lock up on the T. converter plus it is easier plowing snow. I change the oil often and the auto is holding up. I have been still considering going back to manual. So-- Tell me why you are "not liking it" Any other six speeders jump in. thanks
