Need advice: Still haven't resolved my starter prob, anyone know what the number of teeth and dia of the bendix should be for the 53 B4PW? Mine has a failed 6v solenoid type starter, PW has been converted to 12v. My bendix has 9 teeth, and is 1 1/8" outside dia across the teeth. I think maybe it should have the 1" dia bendix? May explain why it jamned really hard before it expired.
I guess I need to use prussian blue on the teeth and see what the print looks like.
