I discovered the generator that came off of my '54 ffpw to be a delco remy 12 volt after wiping off the crud. Can it be converted to back to the original 6 volt system if I can't locate a correct generator,(which should be a Dodge 1264 054 or Autolite GGW -6001B, according to Clint's web information).
I know a lot of you guys have converted your trucks to 12 volt but my yet to be installed wiring harness from Vintage Wiring of Maine is set up for 6 volt. tia
