isnt always a good idea. adjusting it to spec is a better solution. trying to get more out of the limited stock engine by bypassing the buit in safetys will always result in problems. i did an hei, dual intake and modified exhaust on a stock 230 in a m37. the performance gain was not worth it vs a 360 swap i did soon after. if you want to hop up the engine balancing is critical. next would be cam modification, dual intake and exhaust. the governor is there to limit rpms on the engine for a reason. hopefully it will work well for you.
