David, I can't say. I really don't know much about these machines other than the lurking welder hit the nail on the head...we used to burn 5/16 7024 with these machines until the fittings would melt off the welding cables they were so hot!
We haven't used any of them for several years...not conducive to Shipyards because they have a huge fan inside them & it just sucks all the sand from the Sandblasters through them destroying the brushes & every moving part.
They are bulletproof if you maintain them but maintenance is high on them around here so they've gone the way of the dinosaur.
I doubt a 230 will bolt in place of your continental without lots of work but here's the good news...I have an NOS Continental flathead long block sitting in my shop. Send me detailed pictures of yours & if it's the same I'll give you a great deal on it!
