When I towed my brothers 74 W100 home when he bought it. It was January ice everwhere. My trailer wasn't up to the job. First, we got to the sellers house and the 74 was parked tight up to the side of a building with 2 flat front tires. Junk stacked around the sides and rear of the truck. we moved the stuff from behind, emptyed the crap out of the bed. I dropped the trailer and had to drag the truck out of the spot, my 3 out of 4 wheels spinning on the ice. We had to use a comealong to get it on the trailer ( backwards) and we found the lockout hubs wouldn't clear the side rails of the trailer. We had to jack the front up and winch it back then block the front up. Ok Now its on the trailer. Driving down the road I could only go 30mph. to much trailer sway. We went to homeless depot and we put sand bags on the front of the trailer to add tongue weight. That raised the mph to 45 before trailer sway began. That was a 3 hour ride home. When I got to his house, I had to back DOWN his driveway, we then unchained the truck and got the front end on the ground. Now I had to drag the trailer out from under the truck up hill on ice. After a lot of tire spinning we got it done. That was a real long day.
