It's always good practice to mike everything and plastigauge a rod and a main when assembling an engine. This checks everything, including wrong bearings.

Did you replace the oil pump ? It has the relief valve in it. Old pump = old valve and spring. Oil pick up screen OK? Old ones plug up, new ones are usualy required for warranty, and if misaligned can cause cavitation or air leaks- at bolts?

Are there missing oil galley plugs in the front, behind the cam sprocket?

You'll have to find exactly what is wrong before calling in the leagal beagles, better give the machinist a chance to make it right first.
