Noticed the filter listed for the early WC 1/2 ton is the Napa 1081, that's a transmission oil spin-on. The early WC 1/2 tons used the Purolator N-1600 series housing with Mopar element 677218. Baldwin's P67 is the only filter I've found as the correct replacement. My Feb 1948 WDX parts book lists the Motor Improvements(puro N-1600), Deluxe JC(napa 1011) and Purolator P700(napa 1080)housings. The Napa 1100 might work in the Puro 700 housing but is designed for the Military Junior housings Puro PD51, Fram F21, and AC series S6. I haven't found any listing for the Military Junior housing used on WDX/WM300 trucks, only the late WC 1/2 ton, WC 3/4 ton and M37's. Also the 1961 WM300 parts book shows the Deluxe JC available along with the Purolator P709/766(napa 1080) housing. Not sure if the Deluxe made it to 1968 but the early 251 WM300's had it available.
