I brought those 2 trucks home from near Albany NY this weekend. It was the classic scene. These trucks have sat out for years, you would have thought they were gold plated. The owner sure did! He told me they came with 3 brand new, never mounted military tread 900-16 tires, tubes and flaps, and 2 brand new wheel cylinders. After negotiating a price, he didnt want to give me the tires and wheel cyls. After more negotiating, he agreed to give me the tires, but not the wheel cyls. (go figure!) So, I haul one truck home yesterday and go back today for the other truck and there are 2 tires. I asked about the third tire, and he says, "Oh, it was frozen into the ground in the shed he had them in AND it was a 750-20. I have never heard of a 750-20 military tread tire, and yesterday looking at the stack of tires they sure seemed the same diameter. Oh well. So I asked him if he would give me the 2 wheel cyls instead of the 3rd tire he had agreed on. He said "no, I didnt even want to give you ther tires" Cripes, it was like dealing with an 8 year old kid, So I loaded up the second truck and the 2 tires annd bid him good riddance!
Still a fun weekend! Anyone looking for 2 brand new Denman tires, tubes and flaps? The tires still have their paper label on the treads, and they were stored indoors. $150 each plus shipping. (VPW gets $180 for the same thing)
