We were over at the auction tonight, and it was unbelievable, all right.
corvettes - great ones, admittedly - were going for $150,000 while a beautiful '32 Cadillac V-16 phaeton was sold for a ridiculously low $125,000! I've worked at the B-J auction, and I firmly believe that one of the reasons for the astronomical prices is the fact that bidders can drink for free, all day long. Tends to loosen the inhibitions as well as the wallet...
