has certainly changed the definition of rare
according to your description of such....

Years ago, when PWA was the only real publication to look for PWs, W300s seemed very hard to find, very rare. But just look at how many are popping up on ebay. I think that about 75% of the ones I have owned have come from the net.

A GTO Judge was considered a rare car, then, but I am astounded by just how many are becoming available lately.

BTW - W300s built from 58-71 are about as rare as 69-71 GTO Judges, around 10,000 total production.

Now, a W300CC is rare, and a Judge Convertible/or RA4 is rare, because of the additional options found on the vehicle.

I would say a FFPW without a winch seems to be rarer than one with it. FFPWS/W300s with original beds are rare.....

Ability to purchase is not really a criteria for rareness......

AAA (thank god I am rare)
