I missed 3 RMPW trail rides since 1990 and there have always been women & kids. The hard core trails are a looked forward to feature but there usually are people with trailer queen trucks and towneys that understandable don't go on the metal bender rides. So there is always an alternate but just as scenic ride each day that won't scare the hell out of the faint hearted. If you want leave your truck behind and jump in with someone else. One wife came every year and participated in all the nasty trails even when her husband declined. She would just jump in with some on else. She met her waterloo the year we went to Taylor Park and we ran a thing called the Italian Shelves. There was literally 6 inches of road width left between the truck and the ledge drop off at a point where a big rock stuck out from the wall on the up hill side and you had to get around it. She was in histerics with tears and all. The problem was solved when it was pointed out she only need get out and walk past the bad spots. Super trails and spectacular scenes but I also would like to go back to our original plan of going every year a different local to see different things. I won't complain because it was Carl that stepped up and saved the event when the previous organizers got worn out and quit it. That's why there are no fees, no frills and alot less problems. Carl always says "the first rule is there are no rules". I encourage all to go and take the family. It will be the experience of a life time. Your kids will never forget these trips.
