In my limited experience, Power Wagons are not common at all in praire areas. They were too expensive when new, no farmer in his right mind needed 4x4 with a front winch that cost his annual income in 1949. If it was that hard to drive, you didn't. I can count the PWs I have seen in ND on both hands. There do seem to be a lot of them other places, however.
