I started asking these questions because I wasnt sure if all FFPW's of this era had this piece of box frame. Its only about 18-20 inches long on each side starting just behind the front of the bed. It looks original in that the rivet is identical to all the other rivets in that area of the frame. I'm going to put a wire wheel on the frame tonight and make sure I'm not missing something in that area.
