Replacing Valves/Guides on 251

The valves look pretty good. The top of the exhaust valves are pitted, but there's no pitting or burning around the edges where they seat. I'm planning to at least remove the valves and check for bent or excessively worn shafts.

Several of the intake valves have oil on the underside, indicating worn valve guides. I don't know if oil consumption was a problem or not. I'm thinking of replacing the guides, but don't want to get in over my head. Is this something I should attempt at home if I can locate a proper drift to drive them out and replace them? The manual says they need to be seated at a specific depth and I don't have a micrometer to check this. Anyone available to help out with this? John S? Terry? Or should I just bolt it back up and live with it?
