I started out with an excellent condition M37 that had 18k miles on the
odometer. Under the hood, it shows that the engine was overhauled by the
military at 21k. Per the data plate, this was an air force truck, and the
previous owners had quite a bit of information about the truck including
that it was actually used in Korea. I picked it up in the fall of 2003.
In 2004, I started out with replacing all the brake cylinders so that the
truck was safe to drive. From there, I started replacing any parts that needed
to be replaced, or parts that were missing. It has the troop seats and the
bows over the bed for the rear canvas. I put on a new canvas top, and put
on new canvas seat covers. The engine runs awesome, and the drive train
works flawlessly. I did put on front Warn hubs, but kept all the original
parts. I replaced all the fluids in the engine as well as in the drive
train. I did replace 100% of the wiring with a wiring harness (not cheap)
and replaced all of the lamps. Lights work 100%.

Just last fall, I had the opportunity to pick up a Western plow with power
angle from a friend. He had the entire set up on his M37 and it was made
so that I didn't have to drill a single hole in the original truck. The
bumper came off and the plow mount fit up to those holes. It has a 3rd battery
under the drivers seat that runs up to an alternator that shares the
fan/generator belt. Again, the original truck is still 100% original!
Since it now had a plow on it - I installed an original fender mounted
heater with the defroster duct. The truck also has a block heater
installed. We haven't had enough snow yet this winter to even use the
plow but it sure looks mean. I did drive the truck a week ago across town to
warm things up and get it ready.

My plan for this summer is to replace the 4 tires and give it a good OD
paint job. The tires have plenty of tread on them (NDT) but are whether
checked. The paint is only about 3 years old, but right before I bought
it, the guy decided to power wash it so that it would look good when I came to
pick it up. With that, he got too close around some of the handles, and
the paint is lighter on some areas because of it. Doesn't look bad, but I was
going to go back 100%!

There are very few items that this truck needs, and it gets a lot of
attention at the parades I did last year. I've attached a few pictures,
and if you're still interested, will take some more pictures tomorrow of the
plow set up on the truck.

I'm asking $8000 without the plow or $8500 with the plow. Thanks for your
interest. Please let me know what questions you have. I have may pictures available - e-mail me and I will send them to you.
