you say a 20 amp circuit breaker type plug? Did you mean a ground fault circuit interupter plug? I think that is what you meant. It is important to know that those are not circuit breakers, they trip when there is power being "leaked" to ground like a person getting shocked. they aren't designed to trip from being overloaded. if that is what you put in that is fine. but the fuse or circuit breaker in your electrical panel is what will limit the current in an overload situation. you should let the cat try again, maybe he will get a shock and that will train him not to do that. LOL
I had a pit bull puppy 15 years ago that chewed a hole in the wall and there were teeth marks on a wire in the wall. He wouldn't go near that wall for a long time. LOL
