When I bleed a new system I use allmost a QT of fluid doing it. Fluid is cheap and it will get all the air out that way. I Hook a hose on the end of the bleader and just keep pumping the pedal till I see nice new fluid coming in the jar the hose is in. I start with the closest brake fitting first and work my way out till all the fluid has been purged from the system. Just make sure you keep the Resivor full or you will have to start over to get the air out. Worked every time for me. Then adjust the brakes right Heal and Toe till the feeler gauge fits the same all the way around the shoe or a little bit closer at the heal adjustment. Makes for nice solid brakes and very little pedal to stp with. Mark H.
