6-volt 12 volt

With everything changed or modified on my power wagon, there is still one item that remains 6-volt. The windshield wipers. What do I with them hooking them up 12 volt they run quite fast with alot of sparks on the armature. there is a motor for each side, rather small and made by American Bosch.
