Yep, I understand that, but the results that I have seen are not that special. It depends upon the amount of rust. It converts surface rust very well, but flaky and severly pitted areas continue to fall off or come through the POR 15. It's really a semi stop gap alternate for doing the job correctly. It leaves a good looking surface in some instances, but mostly it's a bandaid for a suspect surface.
