Powdercoating is nice as long as you never chip it or need to touch it up. It also requires an oven large enough to handle whatever you are having coated. Nice thing about it is that not much will stick to it. I am using POR-15 on the chassis I am doing now mainly so it can be touched up if needbe and I am blasting the frame before I apply it. Like Marty said, nothing is a surefire rust cure-all except rust removal and good topcoatings
