When I had an oil furnace, I would just dump my waste oil in the furnace oil tank. I doubt I ever had more than a couple percent of waste oil in there, but it never seemed to hurt the furnace. Some say that up to 10% "clean" waste oil can be safely burned in any diesel engine if mixed well with the diesel. I would want to know a little more before I tried that. I often drain waste oil into a box full of sawdust and then put the whole thing in the wood stove. It's important to have a stove with good air control and a damper or it can easily have the stove cherry-red in short order.
