My wife and I have a small horse farm and we board a few horses. I need a small flat bed to haul hay bales and rounds and was thinking of a 4x4 on the order of 1 to 1 1/2 ton. I have two Dodge Rams with the CTD engine. But I need a decent flat bed for working around the farm. I really like the looks of some of the 1950-60 Power Wagons. I was thinking of buying one in decent running shape that I could use and restore over time. Which brings me to my questions.
1. What PW models would you recommend with about 1-1 1/2 ton and 4x4?
2. It appears like there are parts available with some effort. Am I correct or are parts hard to get? Are there models or years I should avoid due to parts issues?
This is a great site and I cannot believe I only just found it. Some good information here and I look forward to your advice on what PW to select.
