I bouht one 20 years ago and it's still in good shape. Unless his seals have changed, the ends are not connected. Once I installed it, I put silicone seal between the joints and closed the windshield until it setup. Use wax paper between the joint and cab to prevent the silicone from sticking the the cab. I believe VPW sells continuos seals.
