move the booster to a location behind the cab and mount it to the left frame rail. This was the standard location in the later years. See the picture above. This is a 68 WM300 that had a dual circuit brake system and had 2 vacuum boosters. One of the boosters has been removed (the rear one). You can see the bracket where it was mounted and the hoses & lines. If you mount your booster at the rear location the tailshaft will clear the booster. You will most likely have to drill some holes in the frame rail to mount it.
