I have the same set-up on my 66'W-300 and it works great. I got the winch for $12 at an auction at Aberdeen (it had a cracked case, welded it up at work). The only thing I don't like about it is the rope winds in the bottom unless I run the PTO in reverse. I have talked to Garwood and they have a reverse pitch worm gear from another model winch, but the bearing races have to be turned down to fit the 10k winch. This is in a future plan.
