Remove floor boards,disconnect all the stuff, forget everything you know from working on newer stuff that doesn't have removable floor boards, remove 4 bolts that hold trans in, slide trans back, set on ground or on a jack so you can lower it down without dropping it, remove pressure plate and disk, remove 8 nuts holding flywheel to crankshaft from the engine side of the fly wheel, they are there, open end wrench only to remove.. Bell housing stays on engine whether you are removing the engine or the tranny. p.s. you might want to change the pilot bushing
