I'm used to that...your US customs works much the same way. Last time I was flying out of Seattle they made me miss my plane but you don't ever dare talk back or complain or you're not coming in period.
I was getting very upset because other people were coming & they'd check them out & let them go. They were just pretending I wasn't there & my blood was starting to boil as the clock got closer to my flight but there's just nothing you can do if you know what's good for you.
If you ever blow a gasket in Customs a big flashing light comes up beside your name next time through...in which case hopefully you wore clean underwear! Ha Ha!
