Mark, I'm sure you've seen this picture posted before, but this is my set up. Spent 3 hours last night plowing 2 feet of snow on my property. I'm still running the original generator and no power steering (my arms feel it today). So ifn I was to upgrade those two items would be it, after 3 hours the lights were getting dim and the plow was lifting pretty slow. I've also got substantial weight in the bed for traction. Never had to chain it up. I have a Meyer's plow but Boss makes a plow that will V and also go into an inverted V or scoop. Really a nice setup but $$$$$. I also moved the plow mount out ahead of the leaf shackles, which puts the plow about a foot farther forward than normal, turns out to work nice for shoving the snow way out the way. The winch in the back is a good idea, I have one in the front that I've had to use a few times, only once I got buried so deep I had to call a tow truck to get out. Ended up taking out the sheer pin on one of the wrecker's 12K winches. That was a fun but expensive day.
