Dupont makes a product called epoxymastic. It is a high solids product that is made to go over metal that doesn't have to be spotlessly clean(can have light surface rust). So far my experience is that it works excellent. And it can be removed if necessary. But I warn you it's a two part product, and when you open one of the cans it smells like a dead deer thats been in an August dicth for a while. But that smell goes away. Satin black finish
