While heated intake helps with fuel vaporisation and gas mileage, the benefits of dual exhaust would probably out weigh the lose of the heat. But don't they also just add another outlet to the stock manifold, thereby retaining the intake heat, and the 'joined' exhaust acts as a crossover pipe ? I'd think a dual-outlet exhaust would be as good or better than hacking one manifold in half, 'split manifolds' aren't going to flow as smoothly as headers.
