At least the length is.

All 9' beds are basicly the same length and wheel well location. The early beds, up until late 1955 or early 1956 have the angled bed tops, and the curved stake pockets. The 1948-early 53 beds had the cycle fenders, and the 53 and up beds had the bigger boxier fenders.

The 1956 to 1975ish 9' beds are all the same.

There are some minor differences in the later beds which include the stamped and non stamped DODGE in the tailgate, as well as reverse lights in the rear panel under the tailgate in later years.

It is possible that some of the crossmembers changed over time, and I know the mounting holes for the tailight bracket changed from two holes with weld nuts to one hole with weld nuts sometime in 1958-59. If memory serves the two holes were there until the end, but the unused hole was smaller in later years, even though it was in the same position.

I hope that is enough info, anyone have any corrections?

Eric
