Chriscase has it closest. I drove it in 1968, it was SCORE back then, I don't think you'd want to modify your trucks to meet the class, but if you did, you need some serious suspension mods or you will all be dead in the first 100 miles, the Dodges will be fine but you will all be bleeding from the mouths with kidney failure...ha!ha!
Seriously there are time constraints but the 500 would most likely be more realistic. An aquaintance of mine has won his class (first overall last year) in both the 500 and 1000 for the past three years.
A M-37 might have a chance to finish with a V-8 and suspension mods
