mine worked well but did the same thing as you described and had been rebuilt. I got a tach and a gps. I just drive like I drive every thing else by sound and the rpm. I have not found myself passing a lot of vehicles unless it was a parking lot or a wreckingyard anyway. After youre first 3500 miles you will know youre truck well enough that the speedometer is not that big a thing. I miss the odometer though. I dont know what is wrong with mine it is not the guage I am sure I will get it fixed so I can watch the needle try to get past 45 when I upshift the O.D.
