The fitting to the rear of the intake is usually low enough to act as a drain plug, you can let lots of gas out and shorten the wait. I suggest you also pinch off the rubber fuel line next time you try it, to keep pump from flooding it again- run it til it runs out of gas, then unpinch line. Inrushing fuel will flush the crap out from under the needle and seat, might fix your flooding prob without having to get into carb?

Use one peice of steel line from pump to carb, rubber under pressure is not good idea. Also, farmer 1 and farmer 2 probably put rubber hose over a rough cut piece of steel line, line abrades hose, crap gets under needle....
