Meshing the dist to the pump is easy you just turn the rotor till it drops in. Hard part is meshing the pump to the cam gear and getting it right so #1 plug lines up right in the dist when you mesh it to the offset drive on the pump. Some have just redone the plug wires to the new #1 location of the rotor. I was tring to set it so #1 is at aprox 9:00 on the cap. The manuals pretty much tell you to go to TDC install pump and dist. Not much said on the subject? Mark H.
