I will measure some more. have any of you ever converted a WC52 to a 2 speed Tcase using 6x6 braCKETS? If so did you have this problem?
I haave been chasing this one for a long time. I am starting to think it is a problem with the balancing in the flywheel. as I have cracked the centers on 2 clutch discs in 20 thousand miles. The noise is at the back of the Tcase. Originaly I thought it was the output bearing on the Tcase so I replaced the Tcase with another, pulled the bearing out of the back of the one I took out and it was beautiful and had absolutely no wear. I have had PWs with a similar noise that was caused by bad rear diffs, so thinking that maybe mine was worn out I threw in a different one, they both show no signs of wear. Still the noise and still the ujoint wears out the yoke onthe back of the Tcase. Driveline haS NEW UJOINTS, BEEN BALANCED TWICE, STILL THE NOISE. I will be gray byt he time I figure it out....
