If you can't feel it but you can hear it, it is most likely the u-joint. Like I said in earlier posts, 3-4-5 degrees is nearly flat from my perspective and should not cause vibration. What will cause vibration at that angle is any deviation from parallel greater than 1 degree, between the shaft centers. That means parallel in both vertical and horizontal planes. They can be offset also, but the shaft centerlines must be parallel regardless of the angle or degrees. A protractor alone cannot tell you that, you'll have to figure out how to rig a dryline that replicates the shaft center (an old carpenters trick) for each shaft center and then measure from those lines to determine if they are parallel. It's time consuming but worth the effort. Short of that there is no other way to compensate for non-parallel shafts except to use a double cardan (CV) u-joint. But that will only compensate for another 2-3 degrees of alignment error. Any more alignment error than that 2-3 degrees will result in the driveline trying to "whip", or to better discribe it, picture a rotating jump rope instead of a solid driveline.
