Wouldn't be the first time that engineering perameters were exceeded in the name of design, expense,or just cause "I wanna". Many automotive mechanisms far exceed the ideals set forth in the suppliers specs- gears, bearings and belts are USUALLY tortured in use by the guys in Detroit. I'd say every time I've educated myself enough to be able to read a nomograph, whatever I've compared was way out of specs- V belts should run on a minimum 3 inch pulley, for instance. But to spin up an alternator, you would need a 14 inch crank pulley.....time to shift perameters slightly....

So, I don't think the Dana/ Spicer info is misprinted, just Idealistic. Power Wagons are REALISTIC!!
